At The Scholar with a Camera Photography LLC, I am creating a special portrait experience for pastors, clergy, and faith leaders across Atlanta. This is more than a photo session. It is an opportunity to honor your calling, preserve your legacy, and create portraits that reflect the love, sacrifice, dignity, and strength that have shaped your ministry and your family.
I know pastors because I am one.
I know the weight you carry, the joy you share, and the sacrifices your family makes alongside you. I know what it means to preach, to lead, to bury, to bless, to counsel, to celebrate, and to keep showing up for God’s people year after year.
For more than thirty years, I have served as a pastor or executive pastor. For more than thirty years, I have also served as a seminary professor, walking with students, leaders, and ministers as they discern their calling and deepen their service. My work as an image maker is grounded in that same love and calling.
I hold a DMin, a PhD, and an MFA, and I bring all of that experience into the portrait experience I create. I understand pastors. I understand pastor’s spouses. I understand pastor’s children. I understand the beauty, pressure, and sacred calling of ministry life.
I love pastors and their families. I am one of you. I see you.

The Pastor Portrait Special & Exhibition at Columbia Theological Seminary
$100 Sitting Fee
Your session includes:
- A studio portrait session for the pastor alone, or the pastor with spouse and/or family
- One fully retouched digital image
- One beautifully framed 11×14 print
- The opportunity to purchase additional digital images for $80 per file
- Access to my regular print and wall portrait offerings
This special portrait experience will take place in my studio and is available for 50 pastors from late April through the end of August.
The Exhibition
Selected portraits may also be considered for a special exhibition planned for late October at Columbia Theological Seminary.

What the Experience Looks Like
1. Schedule a Vision Call
We begin with a friendly conversation about your vision, your family, and what kind of portraits you want to create.
2. Personalized Planning
I will help you plan wardrobe, style, and the overall feel of your session.
3. Your Image-Making Session
Your studio session will be relaxed, joyful, and guided every step of the way.
4. Image Review
After your session, you will receive a gallery of retouched images and select your favorites, with the option to purchase more portraits and prints.
